I’m a Senior Bid Manager and Writer with over 14 years’ experience supporting architecture, masterplanning, interior design, and museum and exhibition design practices.
Through The Response Studio, I provide thoughtful, hands-on support across the full bid lifecycle — from opportunity strategy and go / no-go decision-making through to narrative development, proposal leadership and submission delivery.
My work focuses on shaping clear, compelling proposals grounded in client insight and a strong understanding of design-led practice. Working closely with directors, designers and multidisciplinary teams, I help studios develop submissions that are strategically focused, cohesive and visually aligned with their design identity.
Over the course of my career, I have led and supported bids and proposals for a wide range of cultural, civic, heritage and commercial projects, working with multidisciplinary design teams across the UK and internationally.
Hi, I’m Georgia Ropek.
My approach
Successful bids are rarely just about writing. They come from a clear strategy, a compelling narrative and close collaboration with the design team.
I work alongside studios to shape submissions that communicate their ideas, expertise and design thinking with clarity and confidence. My approach focuses on a few key principles.
Strategic thinking
Every opportunity begins with understanding the client, the brief and the wider context. I help teams assess opportunities, shape the right bid strategy and identify the key messages that will differentiate the practice.
Narrative development
Strong proposals tell a clear and persuasive story. I specialise in developing narratives that connect a studio’s design philosophy, experience and project approach in a way that resonates with clients and selection panels.
Collaborative working
Bid development works best as a collaborative process. I work closely with directors, designers and multidisciplinary teams to draw out insights, structure ideas and translate complex design thinking into clear written responses.
Clarity and structure
Well-structured submissions help evaluators quickly understand the strengths of a team. I focus on creating proposals that are concise, strategically organised and visually aligned with the studio’s identity.
Selected practice experience
Over the past 14 years, I have worked with a range of leading architecture, heritage, cultural and design practices, supporting the development of bids, proposals and design competition submissions.
