Case Study

Competitive Heritage Tender, Grade I Listed Cultural Institution

Bid management and writing

A leading UK conservation architecture practice was shortlisted for a significant heritage commission at a Grade I listed cultural institution, a complex, high-profile opportunity forming part of a major national programme.

I was engaged to provide full bid management and writing support across the submission, working closely with the lead architect and project architect throughout, to shape a proposal that reflected the sensitivity of the site and the ambition of the wider programme.

Services provided

Kick-off and response structure

Led the kick-off process, establishing the response structure and full review of client documentation to identify key messaging and priorities to shape the submission from the outset.

Bid management and coordination

Ownership of the submission programme, stakeholder coordination across the design team, and editorial oversight to ensure a consistent voice and quality standard across the full document.

Quality question writing

Authored responses across the submission's quality questions, each tailored to draw out the practice's specific expertise on a heritage asset of this significance.

Executive summary

Wrote the executive summary to set the tone for the submission, introducing the practice and team and framing their approach to the commission from the outset.

CV preparation

Prepared and formatted team CVs, structured consistently for seamless layout across the submission.

Case study writing

Wrote supporting project case studies, each structured around summary, delivery, innovation and relevance, selected and shaped to build the strongest possible case for the practice's suitability for this commission.

Post-bid washup

Led the post-submission washup, reviewing the process and outcome with the team to capture learnings and inform the practice's approach to future opportunities.

Client feedback

"Working with Georgia was an absolutely fantastic experience. She brought calm and clarity to the process and kept everyone organised and on track throughout. She is professional, incredibly focused and meticulous in terms of detail and knows how to take the process apart into structured and manageable steps, having worked in various sectors of the industry. Georgia works at pace and under pressure but really made the process enjoyable. She brings immense insight into what the bids are really asking for and how to enhance and draw the best out of all involved, to produce something that we were all very proud of. Cannot recommend working with Georgia highly enough."
